El Centrito's Mis Padres y Yo
Mis
Padres y Yo provides parent-child activities that promote and support
infant & toddler cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and
language development. These workshops aim to increase parent’s
knowledge of ways to support their infant/toddler’s growth
in the natural home environment, while supporting the bond between
parent and child.
The Workshops also include group conversations in a supportive environment.
Parents share their parenting joys and challenges; serving as a
network to support parents’ efforts to fulfill their parental
roles. With 3 workshop locations including El Centrito’s Downtown
Campus, Chavez Elementary, & Kamala Elementary, to serve parents
& their infants/toddlers in the Oxnard School District with
topics that include: infant massage, essential touch, parent/child
communication, safety at home, basic child development, and creating
nurturing a home environment that helps children learn & grow.
